i am a stylist and I'm here to help you. First step away from the PC and listen..

1 there is no such thing as a hair stripper. What most folks do is use a word associated with removing paint.

2 what is commonly used to TRY to remove the color is a powdered bleach. It rarely works and is very damaging to the hair.

3 The amount of color it removes varies as to the color your trying to remove. Usually it is patchy and messy. not removing all The color evenly and also tends to leave a very ugly yellow in spots.

4 If I were you I would find a salon that has a color specialist if you can. If not call around until you find a salon that carries a product called Elimin8. It is made by Rusk. It is a color remover, what it does is remove oxidized color. That means, if the color in your hair is a permanent color or a demi color it was activated by peroxide. If it is an oxidized color it will remove it evenly and with very little stress to your fine hair. Good luck!

If you want to be a little dramatic, put some white blonde highlights in it. Then it will look intentional and not like a mistake.

just try to dye it a medium brown with maybe some light brown or blonde highlights

I'm afraid you'll have to wait 2 weeks before you do anything. Dying your hair more than that will cause severe damage to it. If you wanna take a chance, just get another hair dye of a lighter color and dye it over the other one...

Oy vey - Gothic black yet. Check at your drugstore - hopefully there's one open near you. I know that there are products that you can use to highlight or streak, but there should be a cosmetician there to help you choose.

If not, miss a day of school and get professional advice or help. Other than that, wear a hat. And Happy Thanksgiving back atcha.

There is a product called "Begin again" It will remove all perm dye's out.

If you cant get that then all i can suggested is either buy a dye specially for asian hair (made to go over dark hair)

or bleach your hair and then put the colour you want back in make sure you use a red filler.

Go get a couple boxes hot oil treatment and use it immediately, leave it on longer than it says. It will "bleed" some of the color out. Also when you get the hot oil, get a shampoo that talks about stripping out build-up. Aussie makes a good one that is citrus. repeat oiling and stripping. This should take it down a few shades. I had a friend "help" me dye mine strawberry blond once. (I am a blond btw) There were patches of fire engine red all over. but not solid just patches, looked tie dyed. I was told by a hairdresser about the oil and strip. My color was back to normal. Just remember to condition the heck out of it so it doesn't dry your hair out completely.

Good Luck.

LMAO....this was me about a year ago! I did the same exact thing. I took about 10 showers in 2 days trying to lighten it but nothing worked. Go to the hair salon and ask them to reverse the color! Yes they can do that, and it'll bring your color back to your natural color. This is better on the hair than bleaching. But yeah, i hid in my apartment for two days until i could make an apointment at the hair salon. I was freaking out.

For a cheap quick fix you can fade your color by washing your hair with hot water and dish detergent ( like dawn or Palmolive) You will need to do this several times but your color will fade out from black to a brown color. This is a trick used by hairdressers when a color turns out too dark. You can also get a color remover from a place like Sally's Beauty Supply. You would really need to have someone else help you with that so you don't get too light and also get even application. If you try to highlight your hair you are going to get orange streaks and it won't look the best. Hope this helps.

I would go see a professional. but you can use products to strip it and go over it with a lighter color but be very careful it can damage your hair. There is a good one calledcolor erase made by matrix.

semi permament or permament, either way im sure the box said it was Black! what were you expecting? go to school and stop caring so much what others think of you. if you really think its that horrid put your hair up in a bun or something, either way your stuck with black for awhile. your going to have to either wait for it to grow out, or bleach it. either way your gonna have to wait atleast 2 weeks, and i wouldnt suggest bleaching your hair yourself, cuz you will end up with your hair falling out.

First of all, you cannot put color on top of color. Since your hair is now black, no color kit from Walgreens or elsewhere will cover it up or change it. If you have a Sally Beauty Supply store around, call and see if they have a dye removal product. I actually did the same exact thing you did, Permanent black! I used the dye removal, and while it did not work miracles it did remove some of the color. After that, I went to a professional salon and had them help me bleed out the remaining black. The bad part is your hair will be severely damaged, and you will have to try to dye it back to your natural color (or any other color you may want) after this bleeding process is finished...it may leave your hair orangish...

Good Luck!
