I'm a 5'7" male with red hair and I think I have a large head (hat size is 7 3/8). What is the best hairstyle for me adopt (I've heard two schools - as shorts as possible and longer the better)? Also, is a different hair color (currently this is my natural hair color but I'd be open to changing it if beneficial) of any benefit?

Try a short haircut. If you have longer hair it is only gonna make your head look bigger.
